What we know about you.

Almost nothing, by design. There are no accounts. Your plan lives in its link and in your browser. This page lists everything else.

What the site collects

  • Nothing to make a plan. A plan is a URL: the trail, the number of days, the direction, where you will sleep, the day you have selected and, if you add one, a start date. Nothing about you is in it. The “travelling from” choice is a city, never an address.
  • In your browser only: your theme choice, the ticks on a booking checklist, and the planner’s last settings so the guide can link back to them. These stay on your device; we cannot read them.
  • If you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address, the time you consented, where on the site you signed up, and which trail, if any, you asked about. Nothing else.
  • If you write to us: whatever you send, kept only as long as it takes to reply and fix the thing.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookie and stores no identifier on your device; it counts page views and a handful of events (a trail selected, a plan built, a partner link followed) using a hash that changes daily and cannot be tied back to you. Event properties are trail names, day counts and the like — never an email, a name or a free-text field. The site’s code refuses to send anything that looks like personal data.

Cookies

The site sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising or tracking cookies. The maps load tiles from a third party; what that stores is listed on the cookies page.

Newsletter

The newsletter is double opt-in: we send a confirmation first and nothing until you click it. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works in one click. Your address is stored with the newsletter provider and nowhere else. Not yet set: the newsletter provider's name and privacy policy link

Who processes data on our behalf

  • Vercel — hosting and analytics. Server logs are kept for the shortest period the host allows.
  • OpenFreeMap — map tiles on the guide and planner pages. Your browser requests tiles directly.
  • Newsletter providerNot yet set: the provider, once chosen

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Since the only personal data we hold is a newsletter address, the quickest route is the unsubscribe link; for anything else, write to us. Not yet set: a contact address

Not yet set: ICO registration status, once the data protection fee self-assessment is done
